Rachelle Palnick Tsachor, MA, CMA, RSMT

Rachelle earned her BFA at Juilliard and MA in Movement Research at CUNY. She is a Certified Movement Analyst with 20 years experience teaching performing arts, physical skills enhancement, non-verbal communication and recuperation from injury, illness and stress. She has taught at CUNY, Grinnell College and is Adjunct Movement Faculty at the University of Iowa. Rachelle is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (ISMETA designated). 12 classes, $110, or $12/class

Rachelle teaches the organic Ballet technique she learned from Alfredo Corvino, which has many levels of each exercise, so beginners and experienced dancers can enjoy the same class. The technique focuses on healthy, joyful and expressive practice. (Corvino danced for the Ballet Jooss and was Ballet Master at the Wuppertaler Dance Theatre, and at Juilliard, where his mentors were Anthony Tudor and Margaret Craske. )  Attention is given to musicality, weight transfer, placement and dynamics.
